Internal Medicine & Pain Management Nurse Practitioner

The NP works in conjunction with the Medical Director to provide an advanced level of care to patients undergoing pain management therapy. Specialty care provided includes initial and follow-up assessments/evaluations, prescribing protocol medications/management modalities and ordering follow-up services. The NP provides pain management education and leads policy and procedure development for this targeted population. The NP monitors patient outcomes and initiates/participates in quality improvement activities. This role serves as a primary liaison for all disciplines and services interfacing with the Pain Center. The NP position is a hybrid between Internal Med and Pain with the focus 80% on Pain and 20% on Internal Med work
MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. RN license Illinois & Missouri preferred. Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner. Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN. Nurse practitioner certification. BLS and ACLS. Previous NP experience in Pain Management & Internal Medicine desired
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
